First Hand Comments & Observations

Mt Sunapee is a great intermediate mountain. It's greatest strengths are superb Snow Making & Grooming plus a great view of Lake Sunapee and the surrounding countryside. Thanks to management savvy and an infinite water supply, Sunapee's snow makers can do wonders (oftentimes just overnight) to provide lots of superb skiing - even when there is zero natural snow (remember January 2007 - ZERO Natural snow but Sunapee had 40+ packed powder trails!). We ski frequently and will report here EXACTLY what we experience - good or otherwise.

Date:  February 3, 2012: 8 lifts / 48 trails - Really Great Day! Full Sun and perfectly groomed granular. We all are so accustomed to linking New snow to good conditions - but this year is different! We are just 3 miles from the Mtn and even we are amazed and "excited" at how good the conditions are. Looks like weather will be quiet and Sunny in the 20's - 30's for a nice long stretch so "get excited" and come on up. Come try Mt Sunapee's RELIABLE SNOW !!! Make your plans now.
